The people of South Africa might seek to idolize former President Nelson Mandela for his beliefs as it were folks. He led such a remarkable life although a mortal being. Above all, he is a proven example of a true leader – who in the words of comrade H.B. Fahnbulleh, Jr. – constitutes a true leader of the masses. Indeed Nelson Mandela stood radically for what he believed in and it is that principle of his altruism that made him the phenomenal persona of his time.

History calls those men the greatest who have ennobled themselves by working for the common good; experience acclaims as happiest the man who has made the greatest number of people happy.

Creeping chills hit the spines of Liberians from all walks of life after the tragic news of the passing away of veteran prelate and Roman Catholic Archbishop, Michael K. Francis following a protracted illness. The late activist, advocate, freedom fighter, crusader and a once powerful voice for the voiceless in the wilderness was not only a Roman Catholic Minister. His life story will only be complete by the admission that he fought selflessly to bring happiness to many of his compatriots.
