At LWSC: US$125,000 West Point Water Project “Consume”

The heads of three rights advocacy groups in the Township of West Point have said the Management of the Liberia Water and Sewer Corporation (LWSC) has not re-lay or connected a single pipe for the supply of safe drinking water in West Point.

 In a separate interview with this paper on Wednesday, May 22, 2013 in the Township of West Point, the heads of the three rights advocacy groups said residents of West Point have not seen pipe borne water in the Township for the past six months except water supply through ‘push-push’ from Vai Town and other areas.

Several Police officers dismissed

Authorities of the Liberia National Police (LNP) has announced the dismissal of seven police officers from its employ for being absent without approval from the administration of the LNP.  A statement from the LNP quotes police Spokesman Mr. Sam Collins as saying that “The seven police officers were dismissed from the force for accumulating constant Absence Without Leave (AWOL).”
