VP Boakai: GoL Supports 'Liberianization' Policy

Vice President Joseph N. Boakai says the Government of Liberia will support the 'Liberianization' Policy by encouraging Liberian businesses to engage in ventures that will build the economy. He said by providing the requisite and conducive environment for small businesses they will be in the position to create job opportunities and contribute toward the tax base of the economy.

Vice President Boakai made the remarks Monday when he received samples of Liberia School Composition Books produced by a Liberian entrepreneur Mrs. Cynthia G. Karteh, Managing Director and CEO of the Greatest Stationery and Office Supply on the Old Road. The books red, white and blue have pictures of past and present Presidents printed on them as well as other vital information crucial to the learning process of the student.

According to the Manager of the Greatest Stationery and Office Supply, Mr. Joseph S. Parker, who made the presentation to the Vice President, the company has the capacity to supply all the schools in Liberia with the books so long as the necessary formalities are put into place. He said his company has a printing press to produce the books and call on the Government and other institutions to support this venture.
