Maryland Legislative Caucus Chairman Resigns

The Chairman of the Maryland County Legislative Caucus, Representative Isaac Barlu Roland, has tendered in his letter of resignation as Chairman of the Caucus. Lawmaker Roland represents Maryland County District#3 in the 53rd Legislature. He tendered in his letter of resignation at the Capitol Building, the seat of the Liberian Legislature, on Wednesday, November 14, 2012 in Monrovia.

Speaking to Legislative Reporters, Rep. Roland said his resignation was triggered by misunderstanding between him and members of the Caucus.

Rep. Roland pointed out that he does not want to be part of anything that is marred by misunderstanding and confusion.
He said he is a clergyman of the United Methodist Church and a man of peace, and as such, he does not want to part of part of any misunderstanding and confusion.

But the resigned Maryland Legislative Caucus Chairman did not state the misunderstanding and confusion he claimed prompted his resignation. However, Rep. Roland said he remains member of the Maryland County Legislative Caucus, despite his resignation as Chairman. He said he will continue to work with the caucus in his new capacity as member of the Maryland County Legislative Caucus.
